Our reason to be . . .

At NHC we live to know, serve and experience God. We're ordinary people who serve an amazing God. We want our lives to make a positive difference for God, in our community and in our world. We want to do it in a way that demonstrates God’s heart of love in Jesus Christ and according to biblical truth. Come and join us!

Core Beliefs

The bible says these Core Beliefs are what make us Christians. There are many secondary beliefs that committed Christians disagree upon, but these are the non-negotiables of Christianity.

The Bible is God’s Inspired Word. It is our authority on living as God intended us to live. | 2 Timonthy 3:15-16 | 2  Peter 1:20-21 | 2Timothy 1:13; 3:15-16 | Psalm 12:6; 119:160 |  Proverbs 30:5 |

There is only One True God-revealed in three persons… Father, Son and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). | Genesis 1:1 | Psalm 90:2 | Matthew 28:19 | 1 Peter 1:2 | 2 Corinthians 13:14 |

The Lord Jesus Christ is God’s only son. As God’s Son, Jesus is both totally human and totally divine in nature. The only means of salvation is Jesus Christ. He died on the Cross to pay the penalty of our sins (I Peter 2:24).  | Matthew 1:22-23 | John 1:1-5; 14:6 | Acts 1:9-11;4:12 | Hebrews 4:14,15 | 1 Corinthians 15:3 & 4 | Romans 1:3-4 | 1 Timonthy 6:14-15 | Titus 2:13 |

Mankind was made good yet fell into Sin. The consequences of Sin introduced death and evil into all of us physically, emotionally and spiritually. | Genesis 1:27 | Psalm 8:3-6 | Isaiah 53:6a | Romans 3:23 | Isaiah 59:1-2 |

Each of us can be forgiven of ALL our Sins and restored to friendship with God. We are set free by acknowledging Christ's payment for our sins, through His death on the Cross, and living in continued fellowship with God, by His power working in and through us. | John 14:6 | Acts 4:12 | Romans 5:1 | Ephesians 2:8-9 | Galatians 3:26 | Titus 3:5 |

The Holy Spirit empowers believers with gifts and fruit, to live in obedience, humility and joy. We are instructed to diligently seek the spiritual gifts, and to demonstrate them in an orderly, lovingly way. | John 14:16-17; 16:7-13 | Acts 1:8 | 1 Corinthians 3:16 & 13-1-13 | 2 Corinthians 3:17 | Galatians 5:22-25 | Ephesians 1:13; 5:18 |

Every human soul is responsible unto God. Our eternal destiny is determined by how we live our earthly lives. We will either exist eternally separated from God in Hell, because of our disbelief in God and rebellion unto Him, or we wil live eternally with God on the New Earth, through daily trust and belief in the salvation of Christ by His grace. | Matthew 5:21-22; 25:31-46 |

Our Affiliation:

We are affiliated with the national Assemblies of God. They assist us with guidance and oversight toward our goals: to bring God glory by acts of mercy, fighting injustice and walking humbly with God, as we share the Gospel | Micah 6:8 Matthew 28:18-20 |
